Protect My Car provides three main coverage plans, as follows:
- Supreme Coverage
Protect My Car’s supreme warranty plan closely resembles the original manufacturer’s warranty. It best suits those who want to keep their vehicles beyond the factory warranty term. Ideally, you should take this coverage if you intend to own your vehicle longer than three years, which is the term limit for the manufacturer’s warranty.
Key features of the supreme coverage include:
- Wide-ranging inclusionary cover
- The most extensive cover from Protect My Car
- It covers all vehicle parts, including the turbocharger
- It can only be taken by cars less than 50,000 miles
- It has a $100 deductible
The only difference between Protect My Car’s supreme warranty and other extended warranties provided by other companies is that Protect My Car has inclusionary coverage. This means that all covered items should be listed in the contract. Most bumper-to-bumper warranty coverages are exclusionary. This means every part of your auto is covered unless specifically identified as an exception.
- Select Coverage
The select plan is extended warranty coverage for vehicles that have surpassed 50,000 miles. It provides coverage to vehicles just outside the supreme plan. Important details about the select coverage include:
- It covers all parts, including brake parts and the suspension system
- It has a $100 deductible
- It has more coverage than driveline
- Cars should have less than 90k miles
- Driveline Coverage Plan
A driveline plan is the best choice for vehicle owners looking for an extended warranty for vehicles over 100k miles. While it has a limited scope of coverage, it protects almost the same parts as select and supreme plans. However, it excludes the turbocharger, navigation system, and front/rear suspension.
Features of the driveline coverage include:
- Least extensive coverage
- Includes powertrain components, such as transmission, drive axles, and engine
- Protects the cooling system, air conditioning, and electrical components
- It suits cars between 90k and 125k miles
- It has a $200 deductible
Despite being the cheapest coverage plan, it provides quality extended warranty coverage for old vehicles. It suits those who want to hold on to their vehicles longer.

Like other extended warranty companies, Protect My Car does not cover the following repairs:
- Repairs originating from poor maintenance
- Accidental damage
- Issues resulting from competitive driving
- Weather damage
- Issues present before the contract started
- Normal vehicle wear and tear
Protect My Car coverage plans also exclude some vehicle parts, such as bulbs, catalytic converters, hoses, and emission components.
